Roshini Nivas Hostel is run by the Good Shepherd Sisters under the Good Shepherd Society and was established in the year 2000. The hostel was founded with the mission of providing a safe, supportive, and homely environment for college students and young working women from low-income groups and socially disadvantaged families across India, irrespective of creed, race, or region.
What makes Roshini Nivas Hostel unique is its family-like atmosphere, where every resident feels a true sense of belonging. The Sister-in-charge ensures that the needs of the hostelities are met with care and dedication, creating a nurturing environment that promotes growth, security, and well-being.
In addition to providing accommodation, the hostel offers close guidance through personal counselling, seminars on career choices, and opportunities for holistic growth. Annual gatherings such as Hostel Day and Christmas celebrations bring the residents together, fostering joy, unity, and lasting friendships.
The primary objective of Roshini Nivas Hostel is to inculcate values, guide young women on the right path, and show compassion in their needs. At present, 75 girls—pursuing studies in various colleges as well as young women employed in different companies—are part of the hostel community. Above all, the hostel ensures their safety and security, giving parents and families peace of mind.
