Flood Relief Support for Sri Lanka

The Sri Lankan Deputy High Commission Office approached Good Shepherd Convent, Chennai, seeking support for flood relief for the people of Sri Lanka who were severely affected by the recent cyclone.

Deeply moved by the suffering caused by this natural disaster, the Sisters of the Good Shepherd Convent responded with compassion and solidarity. Understanding that many families had lost their homes and basic belongings, the school community came together to contribute essential relief materials.

The Children’s Parliament of our school also played an active role by appealing to parents for support. The parents generously responded, and the Children’s Parliament extended their wholehearted contribution to this humanitarian cause.

All the collected relief materials were submitted to the Sri Lanka Deputy High Commissioner’s Office, Nungambakkam, Chennai, for dispatch to Sri Lanka through the Disaster Management authorities.
