Good Shepherd Convent in Nungambakkam, Chennai, has been a beacon of hope and transformation for over 100 years. Established with a vision to uplift and empower young girls, the convent initially focused on nurturing their lives and social status. Over time, this mission evolved into a broader commitment to education and social ministry. At the heart of our mission is the desire to serve young women and girls by instilling human values, dignity, and the merciful love of Jesus, the Good Shepherd. Alongside our educational and social ministries, we also actively participate in pastoral ministry – offering catechism classes and supporting parish needs.
