Our Spirituality
Our spirituality is grounded in the tender, personal love of Jesus the Good Shepherd – a love that seeks out the lost, heals the wounded, and brings home the brokenhearted. Like the Shepherd who gently carries the injured sheep and anoints it with healing balm, we are called to extend compassionate care and nurturing presence to those who are wounded and marginalized. This compassionate vision was deeply rooted in the hearts of our Foundress, St. Mary Euphrasia Pelletier, and our spiritual father, St. John Eudes. Their unwavering trust in God’s merciful love continues to guide our mission today.
Our Charism
Our charism flows from the Reconciling and Merciful Love of Jesus the Shepherd – a love that embraces every person and all of creation.
In this spirit, we serve all who come to us, regardless of caste, creed, or background, offering a refuge of dignity, justice, and hope. We are also committed to the care of our common home, and promoting the integrity of creation.
Through every act of kindness, healing, and advocacy, we seek to be living signs of God’s reconciling love in a wounded world.
